NEW WORKSHOPS: Oral History Summer School in Upstate New York (June 28-July 6) and Chicago (July 26-Aug 3)

Oral History Summer School will offer our annual Hudson workshop in upstate New York in 2017 (June 28-July 6). This immersive workshop (oral history, theory and practice) will take housing narratives as one area of focus. Led by Suzanne Snider with guest instruction by Sarita Daftary (El Puente) and Walis Johnson (Red Line Archive).

Oral History Summer School is pleased to return to Chicago (July 26-August 3 ) in July 2017 this time in collaboration with the National Public Housing Museum. Participants will support the creation of an aural history/future of public housing in the voices of public housing residents and housing community members.

We aim to fill our programs with participants whose work will most benefit from the theories, values, and tools of oral history. We hope to connect with artists, scholars, educators, activists, advocates, writers, oral historians, community leaders, and more for our June workshops. We would be grateful if you would spread the word to those who may be interested.
