THE RICHARD REUSS PRIZE
For an outstanding student paper on folklore and history
CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS
The Folklore Historian, in association with the Folklore and History Section of the American Folklore Society, solicits entries for the endowed Richard Reuss Prize given biennially for an unpublished student paper (6,000-12,000 words in English) on folklore and history, including historical approaches to the study of folklore or the history of folklore studies. The paper should have been written as a student between August 1, 2015 and August 1, 2017. The biennial prize honors Richard Reuss (1940-1986), founding editor of the Folklore Historian. The winner will receive a prize of $100 USD and have his or her paper considered for publication in the Folklore Historian. Submit in Word the paper with information on the course, professor, and institution in which it was prepared  on or before August 1, 2017, to Professor Jill Terry Rudy, Editor, Folklore Historian, via email at jill_rudy@byu.edu.
